Established in 1994, A&C2000 (Arts and Crafts) is an Italian SME working in the field of applied scientific research. Advanced technologies for geomatics and heritage sites are the main components of the core business, now supplemented by a publishing house.Interdisciplinary convergence is a characteristic of its staff, which works easily within information systems linked to the world of geomatics for the industries related to the Earth Observation and Public Administration, with the design and management of complex databases. Cultural Heritage, GIS (Geographic Information System), Cartography, Geodesy, Photogrammetry, Topography, Cadastre, Remote Sensing and GNNS (GPS, Glonas, Galileo,...) are the main fields of application dealt with taking care of all aspects of design, implementation and specialized training. The synthesis of applied arts and technology between systems during the first era of the computer age was for years our main goal.
A&C2000 has a working team of founding members and a dynamic group of specialists. The different experiences of professional engineers, architects, surveyors and humanists give the company a capacity based on the personal skills of each individual expert.
Particular attention is devoted to applied research by assigning at least 30% of annual revenues. ARCHEOGUIDE - Augmented Reality Based Cultural Heritage on-site Guide: a system that provides a new mode of access to cultural heritage sites in a user-friendly way through the use of advanced technologies including Augmented Reality, 3D visualization, mobile computing, and more-modal interaction. PAGIS - Project for the management information system on scientific data on Mars missions of ASI.
